WHOLE HEALTH ~ 7SS Stage 1: Build a team around your ideal future!
Limited Capacity seats available

WHOLE HEALTH: From the inside out - Session #1/7

7 Stages to Sustainabilty, (7SS) Stage 1: Build a team around your ideal future.
Focus:  What’s calling us to action? Who is here? What do we believe it takes to live well? What does it mean to be an effective leader?

BEING HERE NOW: WHAT MOVES US?
The goal of the Whole Health Breakout #1 is to discover who is here and why -- so that we can co-create the space for connection, inspiration, and collaboration. We will hear from phenomenal movement leaders who will talk about what is effective leadership and how we can cultivate it. Through a series of facilitated exercises, we will indulge ourselves in the juiciness of getting to know each other, and identifying what it is that moves us towards action and evolution of food, health, and lifestyles - from the personal to the planetary.

INTERSECTION OVERVIEW:
What does it take for us to live well?  What does it take to be holistically healthy?

With stress and anxiety related disorders, obesity and hypertension on the rise in both developed and developing countries, we are in need of a holistic health intervention - one that covers everything from sourcing real food to cultivating health and vitality to creating empowered lifestyles – for all people.

Cultivating holistic health – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual - is about understanding the impact we have on our health and the health of others around us - plants, animals and our communities and combining ancient methods and new technology to creating a culture that invests in and supports a holistic way of being and living - in body, mind and spirit.

Join Mirna Folco and Anne Koller in co-creating a full-bodied approach to evolve food, water, health and lifestyles.

GOAL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Our overall goal for this Intersection is to ignite collaborations between participants. These could look like a co-producing an event, sharing resources like email lists, contacts, funding opportunities, or forming alliances and working together on existing movements. In each of the breakouts, we have reserved time for connection between participants. We also have identified elder mentors in our track who can serve in the "wisdom circle" and reflect back to the group what is emergent and prescient to clear blocks and move towards aligned action, however that looks like for this group.

Olympic Exhale: Housing, Social Justice & Local Futures
Limited Capacity seats available

Housing, Social Justice & Olympics: Global Legacy, Local Futures

The city of Rio de Janeiro has spent billions in anticipation for upcoming mega-events. This spending is called “Building the City” by many, but unfortunately has been largely done without prioritizing the needs of Rio’s citizens. While this has been felt throughout the city and across socio-economic lines, the most devastating outcome of this “Building the City” has been widespread housing removals and destruction of many favela communities. In some instances, the government has offered alternative housing for families. While this can be seen in a positive light, it does not address the real issue here: the collapse of communities in which experiences and memories are created, and through which people identify themselves.

Being outside of the formal sector, people living in favelas have constructed their houses, their surroundings, their realities, and their communities themselves, together, for themselves and for each other. That is not something that can be recreated by a social program. To tear these communities apart is to violate the human rights of those who created and are living in them. It is urgent that these violations be addressed, not just for the sake of those who face removal, but also for the integrity of the city as a whole.

Join this timely discusson as new voices are heard and we seach for integrity moving forward.

Strengthening our movements for a healthier future
Breakout four will dive deep into how the personal and the planetary connect within our lives. How do we create balance between the inner and outer worlds? What are some of the ways we can create collaborations more intelligently & compassionately?

In the first half, our speakers will share with us their experiences and key points about how successful collaborations happen on multiple levels. In the second half, we will break into small groups to facilitate our focused attention on what moves in you around these themes of inner care and collaboration, and build towards our overall goal of fostering emergent collaboration possibilities.

What are we made of? Our Watersheds & Ocean Ecosystems.... From risks to resilience ~ media presentation, dialogue, & ceremony

What are we made of?  Our Watersheds & Ocean Ecosystems

In many traditional cultures, water is at the source of our symbiotic connection with our Mother Earth.

Indigenous stewards of our watersheds have tended to the cycles of regeneration through the generations and when necessary, in times of impending crisis, become the voice of Gaia herself.

This panel features passionate local stewards, and visionary leaders at the forefront of science.

This is both a grassroots movement and a transformation of our essential cultural narratives.

How can we both seed a vital future for generations to come and reclaim our essential connection to Mother Earth which is our vital human birthright?

From on the ground resilence from national leader in disaster risk assesment, George Pimentel of CPRM, we'll trancend and shift to a conversation about community resilience.

Supported by leading faciliators and Artists In Action, we will transmute and compost what needs to be let go in order to bring in a new era of regenerative life.

Celebrative Meditation with inspirational and vibrational music to cleanse and elevate the waters within and without!
